Melbourne Ring Festival | 15 Nov - 13 Dec
The Melbourne Ring Festival’s Opening Event
This unforgettable ‘Ride of the Valkyries’ signifies the arrival of Wagner’s epic Ring cycle in Melbourne, celebrated by massed brass bands and of course the Valkyries themselves on horseback, with a performance of Wagner’s best-known piece.
Following a City of Melbourne welcome, the brass bands take to the Federation Square Stage for a celebratory concert.
Saturday 16 November, 1pm (90 Minutes)
